The evaluation version allows you to take a look at all the features
and tools just like in the registered version of the product.
However some features have been disabled - such as printing and
saving. When you buy and enter your license key, the locked features
unlock.
If you already have an unlocked version installed
on your computer and want to upgrade to the current build, simply
download and run the installer for your platform and you'll
be upgraded to the new version.
To try Life Plan Writer before purchasing, download
and install the correct version below.
Requirements:
Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac
OS X 10.5.6+ or any Linux Operating System that has Java
6 or higher installed (most computers do).
Troubleshooter: If you are unable to install the
program and you have Microsoft Windows, download this Windows-only

Java 6 on 64-bit Mac Isn't Working
Although Java 6 is installed in Mac OS 10.5.5, it is not automatically
activated as the default machine. Here is what you have to do
per Apple support:
Go to Applications folder and find the Utilities folder.
Inside Utilities find the Java folder.
Inside Java folder double click on Java Preferences.app.
You will see two white windows. In the bottom one called "Java
application versions" you will see Java SE6 in the list.
Click once on this and drag this name so that it is at the top
of the list. This will change the preferred version of Java
on your machine to Java 6.
Java 6 on 32-bit Mac Isn't Working
Apple didn't release Java 6 for 32-bit Mac until Mac OS 10.5.6+,
so after an upgrade you should be fine.
Uninstalling on Linux
On some varieties and set ups of Linux, an uninstall link is not
created. To uninstall Life Plan Writer, navigate to the Life Plan
Writer folder (where LifePlanWriter.jar is located). In that folder,
you will find a file named "uninstall." Run that (usually
by double-clicking) and Life Plan Writer will be completely uninstalled
from your computer.
Will my existing Life Plan Writer 5 files work with Life Plan
Writer 6?
Unfortunately, no. The old Windows-only format of the earlier
versions won't work on the new Java platform, which will work
on any operating system.
